All participants must register for the conference, including authors, presenters, workshop organizers, tutorial organizers, special session organizers, and other attendees.
Requirement for workshops and special sessions:
All workshops and special sessions must have at least one organizer registered in person.
Requirement for accepted Full Papers and Summaries:
To be included in the conference program (and, in the case of Full Papers, to appear in the MIT Press ALIFE 2026 Proceedings), at least one author must register for the conference, either in person or online, no later than June 21, 2026.
After completing registration and payment, the registration system will generate a PDF registration confirmation. Please upload this PDF through the Linklings system together with your camera-ready manuscript and, where applicable, the Publication Agreement by June 21, 2026.
Information for ISAL members:
Current members of the International Society for Artificial Life (ISAL) are eligible for a substantial registration discount. Participants registering as non-members will receive one year of ISAL membership as part of their registration; this membership is included with non-member registration and is not optional.
Depending on exchange rates and applicable taxes, it may in some cases be less expensive to first become an ISAL member and then register at the member rate. You can join ISAL here: ISAL Membership.
Information for In-person attendees:
In-person registrations include the social program. Accompanying persons who are not attending the conference may register separately for the social program through the registration site.
Information for Students:
Discounted registration is available for students and retired participants. Verification of student / retired status and ISAL membership may be checked.
Early birds discount:
Early-bird registration offers discounted rates through 15 June 2026.
Regular registration is available through 15 July 2026.
After that, late registration rates apply.
